Disposal of bulky goods according to the polluter-pays principle.
You think that’s not possible? We say it is. Together with the municipality of Disentis, which has very different stakeholders when it comes to waste disposal, we have developed an appropriate system. A disposal system that is easily accessible and fair for everyone – whether permanent residents of the municipality or holiday home owners.
And this is how the user-friendly disposal of bulky items works:
- On arrival at the collection point, the operating station (touchscreen) on the side of the compactor container is activated.
- The user can use the touchscreen to identify themselves with a payment card (all major credit cards). In the background, the system reserves a certain amount of money, similar to the process at a petrol pump.
- The gate to the press container then opens and the corresponding bulky goods can be placed in the bucket.
- The weighing system on the device then weighs the material and the corresponding amount is automatically deducted from the credit card.
- Finally, the user receives a receipt with details of the transaction and the process is complete.
Through the connections and applications of various KOCO software modules, each weighing and payment transaction is cleanly and transparently integrated into the KOCO system. At the same time, KOCO records the machine’s signals and informs the responsible personnel about possible error messages and fill levels to ensure optimum utilisation.
